My Journey in Entrepreneurship – From Ideas to Innovation
Entrepreneurship has always been part of who I am. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the challenge of creating something from nothing, learning through trial and error, and pushing toward new opportunities.
At 16 years old, I explored the world of drop shipping. Using Shopify, I launched a website aimed at competing with major outdoor retailers like Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s. The venture didn’t generate sales, but it was my first real exposure to market research, branding, and e-commerce operations. That failure planted the seed for my passion — every step was a lesson.
By 22, I shifted my focus to my growing technical background and attempted to launch a freelance technical sales service on Fiverr. Again, the project never took off, but I came away with new insights about positioning, value communication, and customer targeting.
Now at 23, I’m building on my engineering and multiphysics expertise by offering COMSOL consultation services. My goal is to support projects involving process simulations, bioenergy systems, and multiphysics modeling. Unlike my earlier ventures, this effort combines both my academic foundation and professional experience — giving me a strong base to grow from.
Alongside freelancing, I’ve also been exploring opportunities in Louisiana’s bioenergy sector, particularly around sugarcane bagasse waste conversion into high-value products like biochar and biofuel pellets. While these early discussions haven’t yet led to a startup launch, they continue to deepen my knowledge of the renewable energy landscape and open doors for future ventures.
Entrepreneurship hasn’t only been technical for me. As a child, I was passionate about music creation. At 18, I produced a track with BPCC in Bossier through the TAPS Instrumental program at Caddo Magnet. I attempted to publish it on Spotify via TuneCore, but ran into challenges with distribution costs. Even then, I saw firsthand the obstacles that creators face in bringing their work to the world.
Most recently, I started GeauxTube, a social media project I launched in June 2025 centered on LSU Football content. While it’s still small and unlicensed, it reflects my continued drive to experiment, create, and learn through digital platforms.
At the core, I see entrepreneurship not as a single success or failure, but as an ongoing process of building, testing, and growing. My background in engineering and sales gives me a unique perspective — one that blends technical problem-solving with business development.
This journey is still being written, but I know one thing: I’m committed to becoming an entrepreneur who leverages engineering innovation to create value and impact.
